Q: What are the costs for joining?
A: Check the “Shop” tab on the Coho Ho Ho website for current registration costs for Rally Runners and Seminar Sailors.
Q: How many sail (or power) boats on average leave each year?
A: Typically, about a dozen boats make the trip as Coho Ho Ho Rally participants. These boats are usually sailing vessels, but we do have occasional power boats who are just as welcome.
Q: Is it a straight sail to San Francisco?
A: Rally participant boats usually depart Puget Sound in late August / Early September. Each owner is their own captain, deciding when and where to be. Several boats usually make the decision to stop in Newport, OR and meet up again before proceeding south to San Francisco.
Q: If I attend some of the seminars this year, will there be the same seminars next year if I miss some seminars this year?
A: Many seminar topics are addressed similarly every year, and a smaller number of seminars are one-offs. In general, the seminars are produced live and recorded, and members have access to the video recordings of seminars they missed. Seminar Sailors have access to the live seminars and recorded videos for the year during which they signed up. Rally Runners have access to ALL videos irrespective of their membership year. The Rally Runner registration is good for life, and you can attend the Coho Seminars as many times as you like!
Q: Does the Coho Ho Ho have a minimum required equipment list for participants?
A: Yes, The Coho Ho Ho rally does have some requirements specific to our ability to manage the rally and communicate with participants. The minimum equipment list changes from time to time and is provided to members when the seminar season kicks off. The minimum required equipment that the Coho Ho Ho demands does not include everything you should have for your safe voyage and most Rally Runner participants will have a more expanded list of what they deem required that exceeds anything the Coho Ho Ho requires of our participants.
